Multicultural Week!

I would like to thank Ms. Campos for making multicultural week in Pre-K 3 such a huge success!  Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.  She turned our room into a little El Salvador.

Happy Catholic School's Week and Multicultural Week.  I am so blessed to be able to be a part of such a great school.  This week we are celebrating Catholic School's Week and Multicultural Week.  I have been talking to the children about how lucky they are that their parents have chosen this school and how lucky I am to be able to be their teacher.

Today Ms. Campos showed us how to make homemade tortillas.  Some liked them plain and some like them with black beans and queso.  Delicious.  Thank you Ms. Campos.

What's Up in Pre-K 3

Good evening everyone,

We have been busy in Pre-K getting back into the school routine.  The children are doing a great job.  We hosted our first prayer service last week and the children were awesome.  After a three day weekend they all sang their hearts out and did their best.  I am so proud of them!  We have also attended mass the past two Fridays.  Their behavior in church was excellent.

This week we will begin learning about the letter O.  We continue reviewing what we have learned so far this year.  I am working on recognizing the letters in their name and numbers 1-10.  We have been talking about how important it is to listen to God and to Obey God.  Last week we learned the story of Noah and the Ark.  This week we are going to learn about Jonah and the Whale.

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Ms. Baker

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Pre-School!!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is enjoying Christmas vacation.  I want to thank everyone for making our Gingerbread House Making Party a success.  The children had a lot of fun making their house and sampling the treats.  Thank you so much to Santa for coming and visiting our class.  You made our day!

Enjoy the rest of your break and be safe.  See you next Tuesday.

Love,

Ms. Baker and Ms. Campos

Waiting For Jesus!

It is hard to believe that we are into the first week of Advent.  For the next two weeks we will be learning about Advent and the Christmas Story.  Christmas is a very exciting time for our children and we like them to learn that "Jesus is the reason for the season."

Five Senses Fun!

Last week we had a great time learning about the Five Senses.  We did a lot of activities with Mr. Potato Head.  Mr. Potato Head is a great and fun way to learn about the Five Senses.  We did sorting activities, taste testing, listening and guessing what the sound is and painting blind folded.  We also used our sense of touch to guess what we were feeling.  Take a look.

Thanksgiving Feast

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Thanksgiving Feast at 11:00 am.  Please join us if you can.  You do not need to pack a lunch for your child unless you don't think they will eat turkey, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and macaroni and cheese.  Thank you for volunteering to bring in food.  I'm sure it will be delicious.

Thank you so much,

Ms. Baker and Ms. Campos

Grandparents Are The Best!!!

This week we will be learning about fire prevention and safety.  We will also begin learning about the letter D and the number 4.  We will continue to review what we have been learning so far.  I feel like the children are getting used to the daily routine of the school day and are adjusting nicely.

Thank you all for your support.

Good evening everyone,

I hope your weekend was relaxing.  I wanted to remind everyone that tomorrow is Picture Day. The children may wear dress clothes or their school uniform.

Thursday is Yellow Day.  The children may wear a Yellow shirt with their uniform pants or shorts.

Last week our Red Day was a huge success!  We did everything Red.  Painted, Colored, played with Red Play dough, and ate Red Snacks.  What fun.  Take a look.

Good Evening Everyone,

Hope your weekend was wonderful.

It is hard to believe that this week will be our fourth week of preschool.  The children are still getting used to the rules and routines of school and are doing well.  We will attend our first prayer service tomorrow.

This week we will be working on the letter Aa, the number 1, and the color Red.  The children can wear a Red shirt on Thursday if they have one.  Thursday is also a Tag Dag which means that they can come out of uniform if they pay $2.00.

Thank you all so much for entrusting your children with us.  It is truly a blessing to teach your children.

See you in the a.m.

Ms. Baker and Ms. Campos
